Member for Murray Austin Evans has announced that the NSW Government through the Back to the Track grants program will provide $20,000 towards the iconic Carrathool Races on Saturday 2 March 2019.
Mr Evans said the Back to the Track program supports regional and country racing clubs in engaging with their local communities and attracting visitors.
“The Government’s funding supports events like Carrathool Races to ensure their success in regional areas including help towards boosting patronage by locals and visitors,” Mr Evans said.

Families at next year’s Carrathool races will enjoy entertainment throughout the day with a live band as well as family friendly activities.
Minister for Racing Paul Toole said regional and country racing forms a key part of the social fabric in local communities.
“We want country racing to thrive and attract people who may have never been before to help ensure a sustainable future for clubs.”
The Back to the Track program has approved funding to 25 projects including the Carrathool Races, throughout regional NSW.
