Member for Murray Austin Evans has announced that the Wakool Community Association will receive $10,000 from the NSW Government to assist in staging the Wakool Fishing Classic, the Cultivate Ball and the Wakool sheep Races.
Mr Evans said support for these events is important to the community given the difficulties of the ongoing drought.
“The Wakool Community Association contacted my office recently and indicated that planned events for the year were in financial doubt.
“I then contacted the Deputy Premier, John Barilaro and he agreed that it was important to assist these events,” Mr Evans said.
“I look forward to these events taking place during the year, giving residents in Wakool and the area an opportunity to be involved in and enjoy some great community events.
